POSITION SUMMARY
The Partner Development Liaison II position will support the mission, goals, and strategic plan of Nevada Donor Network Inc. (NDN) by supporting the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of educational and development strategies designed to increase organ and tissue donation. The Partner Development Liaison also serves to promote effective communication with relevant stakeholders to facilitate donation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Partner Relations & Case Coordination
- Builds and maintains relationships with funeral homes, coroners/medical examiners, and hospices.
- Serves as the primary liaison to address partner needs, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure smooth donation processes.
- Coordinates donor case logistics and ensures compliance with regulations.
- Provides timely referral and donation data to partners.
- Ensures all partners are engaged through events, outreach, and ongoing communication.
- Participates in on-call shifts to navigate donor logistics involving external partners.
Education, Compliance & Quality Improvement
- Conducts education and training for external partners on referral and donation processes.
- Ensures adherence to policies, confidentiality standards, and partner regulations.
- Participates in meetings, training, policy updates, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Compiles and verifies data for reporting and goal tracking.
- Assists with departmental training and development as a preceptor.
Coroner/Medical Examiner Collaboration
- Responds to regional coroner/medical examiner offices as scheduled.
- Facilitates donor permissions and case coordination.
- Completes referral documentation and ensures all records are accurate.
- Conducts physical assessments on potential donors and documents findings.
- Maintains chain of custody when requested.
- Secures necessary blood samples from hospital labs for potential donors, as applicable.
Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred); relevant work experience may be substituted for academic requirements.
- Experience: 2 years related experience in healthcare, funeral home, law enforcement, or forensic fields preferred.
- Computer Skills: Knowledge of MS Office programs
- Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License
- Other Requirements: personal cell phone, personal vehicle
Other Physical Requirements: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Face shield, safety glasses, disposable gloves, shoe covers, sterile gowns, etc.) as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Non-smoking office and coroner/medical examiner office, funeral homes, hospital setting, government buildings and classroom environment.
