Role Charter : Clinical Laboratory Technologist
Nevada Fertility Institute is seeking a Clinical and Laboratory Technologist to join our dynamic, patient-centered fertility practice. This role is integral to our mission of providing world-class fertility care and ensuring the highest standards in laboratory testing and diagnostics.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical laboratory procedures and clinical testing including sonography, along with the ability to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team. This position requires bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English and is eligible for H-1B or TN visa sponsorship, contingent upon meeting all U.S. visa and credentialing requirements. Candidates requiring work visa sponsorship must obtain a Health Care Worker Visa Screen certificate before applying.
Key Responsibilities :
Clinical Laboratory Technologist Duties :
- Perform and analyze laboratory tests on body fluids, including blood, urine, and semen samples, to support fertility treatment plans.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment such as microscopes, automated cell counters, and specialized diagnostic tools.
- Use automated laboratory equipment to process multiple samples efficiently while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Accurately record test data and results in the electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and Nevada state medical regulations.
- Maintain sterility and quality control in laboratory procedures, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Support overall laboratory quality assurance by adhering to protocols, performing manual tests as required, and ensuring compliance with fertility industry standards.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate clinical equipment such as ultrasound machines.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare practitioners to discuss laboratory findings and contribute to patient treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with Nevada medical licensing requirements and uphold professional standards in laboratory work.
