Responsibilities:
- Serves as project manager for assigned projects, overseeing planning, design, construction, and implementation.
- Develops project budgets, schedules, and conducts site visits.
- Coordinates assigned services and operations with other divisions and outside agencies.
- Plans, coordinates, and reviews project work performed by private consultants.
- Reviews and designs project plans and specifications involving hydrology, traffic, soils reports, grading plans, sewer plans, water/wastewater facility plans, streets plans, and other related documents.
- Performs engineering calculations for stormwater, water, sewer, pavement, etc.
- Reviews drawings and details of construction and implementation plans.
- Provides technical advice, guidance, and direction to an engineering team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project support, with a focus on roadway, site development, and/or utility design.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Understanding of engineering principles related to hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater management; ability to perform engineering calculations and interpret design drawings.
- Experience working on streetscape and roadway projects.
