Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). In this role, you will Install, maintain and periodically test electronic security systems and equipment. Maintain, upgrade, and supports CCTV, alarm, and access control system components. Conduct installations, corrective and preventive maintenance of intrusion detection systems ensuring, protect of government property, personnel, vital equipment, facilities, classified matter, and SNM. Participate in the On Call Program and Provide Mission Critical Support.

Department of Energy Q Clearance (position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR Part 707.4 , “Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites,” will be conducted. Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation, required to participate in subsequent reinvestigations, and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation, which may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination, may also be required. Reference 10 CFR Part 709 , “Counterintelligence Evaluation Program.”

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of specifications for structures, systems, and equipment.
- Make routine calculations and analyses in support of design engineering, such as earthwork, material quantity takeoff, and statistical data.
- Assist in computer-related activities such as preparing data and using computers to solve technical problems including the use of CAD Systems for drawing preparation.
- Assist engineers in reviewing and recommending action on requests for engineering change orders and obtains the required approvals.
- Perform technical research and gathers data needed by engineers.
- Assist with detailed review of drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and format suitability.
- May provide support of operations at Nuclear or High Hazard (HH) facilities to maintain a condition and configuration to accept and support programs and projects.
- Contribute to solutions of assignment-related problems and issues with limited scope and basic complexity. Follow basic standards, practices, and procedures as well technical knowledge to address problems and complete tasks.
- May assist in and operate specific equipment and/or tools necessary for a particular assignment, including radiation detection equipment, electronics, networking components.
- Follow checklists for specific equipment-related tasks such as calibration, testing, and operation of equipment or tools needed for the position.
- Assist in defining specifications for procurements and initiates purchase requests.
- Provide support for execution of program/project activities and data collection (i.e., classified systems/networks, diagnostics, and laser systems).
- Perform other duties assigned by Management.
- Associate degree in field related to the position plus at least 3 years’ progressive related experience or High School diploma plus 5 years’ progressive related experience.
- May be required to participate in the Human Reliability Program (HRP).
- The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).
- Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday (subject to change).
- Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
