Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Low Voltage Technician/Laborer to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the low voltage industry. The successful candidate will assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems such as security systems, fire alarms, audio/video systems, and structured cabling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation and termination of low voltage cabling (e.g., Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic) for systems such as security cameras, audio/video, and access control.
- Support senior technicians in troubleshooting and repairing low voltage systems.
- Run and organize cables in commercial and residential buildings according to blueprints and specifications.
- Set up and install devices, including security panels, sensors, and cameras.
- Perform basic maintenance and inspections on existing low voltage systems.
- Prepare job sites by ensuring tools, equipment, and materials are ready.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Assist in testing and verifying system functionality.
- Document work completed and provide reports as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
