Hours: 1pm to 5:30pm, Monday-Friday

- must be willing to submit to a Criminal History Background Check
- have experience working with children in a childcare setting (REQUIRED)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role is essential in supporting lead teachers in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment that fosters the growth and development of each child. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with students, providing individualized attention and support to enhance their educational experience.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Provide care and supervision for children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Support the development of children's social, emotional, and cognitive skills through engaging activities.
- Help manage classroom behavior by implementing behavior management strategies.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a positive learning environment.
- Participate in the planning and preparation of educational materials and resources.
- Assist with record-keeping, including tracking student progress and attendance.
- Support special education needs as required, adapting activities to meet individual student requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Experience working with toddlers or young children is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to assist in lesson planning.
- Experience in behavior management techniques is beneficial.
- A genuine passion for working with children and contributing positively to their development.
