What are the responsibilities and job description for the Alarm Monitor position at New Age Protection?
*This position requires an active Interim Secret or Secret security clearance.*
Shift: Part-Time / On-Call - contacted on an "As Needed" basis, Monday-Friday, 0730-1600
Responsibilities:
- Being able to monitor closed circuit television (CCTV) screens and having the ability to analyze different displays shown.
- Operating various electronic security systems, including intrusion detection systems, alarm monitors / panels, etcetera.
- Coordinating with the necessary personnel if there is an alarm activation and initiating the dispatch of proper units.
- Ensuring that all alarm systems are functioning properly.
- Being able to answer the phone and properly use a two-way radio to communicate with different personnel on site.
- Communicate and direct visitors to the visitor parking area, along with ensuring they go to the visitor center to undergo the vetting and badging processes.
- Being able to utilize binoculars to provide area surveillance.
- If necessary, having the capability to provide Command Security Keys.
- Follow the rules and regulations with the Command’s Lost and Found Policy.
- Send out Security Notifications when needed.
- Issue and receive badges from visitors when they are entering and leaving the facility, when the Activity Duty Officer (ADO) is unavailable.
- Using the visitor database to log visitors in and out.
- Ensuring that the anti-terrorism measures (RAM) are completed monthly.
Requirements:
- Maintain an Active Secret security clearance.
- Being able to successfully complete all required trainings.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Be proficient in MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etcetera).
- Excellent communication, written, and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- This position requires prolong standing, bending, stooping, walking flights of stairs, running, and demonstrating the ability to defend themselves or others.
