What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional / Area Manager position at New Age Protection?
*This position requires the possession of an Armed North Carolina Private Protective Security Board (NCPPSB) security license, along with having the physical card.*
Shift: Full-Time, Open Availability for Days and Shifts
Duties and Responsibilities
The Regional / Area Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing oversight and account management.
- Provide oversight and supervisory assistance as needed to subordinate supervisors. Serve as liaison between the client and New Age Protection, Inc.
- Having a positive and professional relationship with the supervisory staff.
- Ensure operational assets are available to meet contractual requirements.
- Make sure the day-to-day operations are being followed on each assigned shift.
- Ensuring that the security staff is adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Conducting roving tours of the building to enhance security visibility.
- Responding to all problems or issues raised by security staff during their tour of duty.
- Responding to calls for security within the various buildings.
- Ensuring that security staff are properly relieved for breaks, and that coverage is maintained.
- Reporting any problems or situations that arise to the Security Supervisor (mobile patrol) and/or Security Operations Center.
- Ensuring employees comply with the Company’s employee rules and promptly counsel and discipline any employee misbehavior.
- Visit all sites in a timely manner to ensure the day-to-day operations are being performed in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Assist the Operations Manager with administrative and operational functions, such as timesheets, scheduling, staffing needs, etcetera.
Physical Requirements
Must be in good physical condition to perform the essential duties of the position.
- Able to sit, stand or walk for the entire tour of the shift (8 hours)
- Able to climb five flights of stairs
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds
Qualifications
- Must be a minimum age of 21 years of age.
- Must be a High School graduate or possess a General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Must have a valid and current North Carolina or South Carolina Driver’s License.
- Must be licensed in accordance with North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 74C – Private Protective Services (NCPPSB).
- Must have an acceptable North Carolina Private Protective Services Board criminal history check that does not contain records with criminal history for which the individual was indicted on felony-level charges or convictions of offenses against moral turpitude.
- Must have at least seven (7) years of security experience (may have occurred while serving in bullets below) and at least three (3) years of the following:
- US military experience with an honorable discharge (DD-214 required),
- Police Officer experience
- Correctional Officer experience
- Probation Officer experience
- OR 3 years of verifiable, positive private security experience.
- OR 3 years of verifiable, positive experience in one of the following:
- US military experience with an honorable discharge (DD214 required).
- Police Officer experience
- Correctional Officer experience
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to exercise courtesy, tact and diplomacy in daily contact with County employees, customers and visitors.
- Possess exceptional communication skills, verbally and written, to all levels of management in English, along with being able to read efficiently. Bilingual (English / Spanish) is preferred.
