Manufacturing Plant Manager
On-site Position (5 days per week from start date)

The Plant Manager position leads the operations of the Vermont manufacturing plant. This pivotal role focuses on optimizing cost efficiency, cultivating team capability, and implementing robust performance management practices to achieve organizational objectives. Candidates need to have experience in a manufacturing ISO environment with small parts (widgets. components etc.) and enjoy being hands-on. This position is required to demonstrate the ability to lead complex manufacturing operations while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the plant operations: Planning and organizing production schedules, meeting performance targets, and ensuring all products of the highest quality reach the marketplace on time.
- Responsible for all plant production output, product quality, supply chain requirements, and on-time shipping.
- Oversee the allocation of all resources effectively and fully utilize all assets to produce optimal results.
- Responsible for overseeing the daily operations and developing strategies to meet production goals, while controlling inventory and reducing costs.
- Develop and oversee budgeting and strict adherence to financial targets.
- Keeping up to date with latest production best practices.
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to identify and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Lead and develop a high-performing management team, aligned with the company’s mission and strategic goals.
- Establish a culture of collaboration, empowerment, and accountability at all organizational levels.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Address performance gaps proactively, fostering a high standard of operational and individual accountability.
- Lead the ongoing development and optimization / utilization of the ERP system.
- Drive operational performance to meet or exceed delivery timelines and production targets.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and strategic initiatives
- Protects the Company’s value by keeping information confidential and protecting trade secrets.
- Support and adhere to all ISO standards applicable to the Company.
- Adheres to all employment policies/safety policies/practices required by law/established by Company.
- Wears all necessary Personal Protective Equipment directed by the Company at all times.
- Demonstrates complete working knowledge of firearms safety.
- Maintains and keeps workstation and department area clean.
- Immediately reports any maintenance and/or safety issues to Executive Leadership.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude toward co-workers, other departments and the Company.
- Maintains respect, courtesy and professionalism toward all co-workers and the Company.
- Communicates clearly and effectively with co-workers and management.
- Actively participate and support the 5S process within the work area on a daily basis.
- Other duties will be assigned as required.
Qualifications & Knowledge Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in leadership positions with increasing responsibility in manufacturing settings, ideally culminating in a position reporting directly to the CEO, with a track record of improving productivity, quality, and safety, including knowledge of OSHA/safety requirements.
- Experience successfully implementing lean manufacturing practices (including 5S and theory of constraints) in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with Epicor/SolarSoft ERP system preferred.
- Experience successfully developing operations leadership and building operations management teams.
- Excellent communications, negotiating, and teaching skills.
- A sound working knowledge of BATF compliance regulations. (Note: If candidate does not have firearms experience, candidate must demonstrate ability to improve regulatory compliance and ability to learn BATF regulations quickly.)
- Exceptional general management capabilities, time management skills, a keen eye for detail,
- a hard-working nature, high integrity, a sense of humor and perspective, and high-performance standards for self and others.
- Strong communication skills (business writing, presentations, and interpersonal) along with the ability to work with executive level clients and stakeholders.
- Experienced in successful new product launches.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office. Working knowledge of manufacturing IT systems'
Salary : $180,000 - $190,000
