Mill Production Supervisor

JOB DUTIES:

• Conducts daily safety meetings. 
• Focuses on driving Safety, quality, and productivity.
• Reviews production schedules daily, assigns hourly workers as required.
• Adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. 
• Maintains electronic time and production records for department.
• Be a role model for safety and promote a zero-injury safety culture. 
• Identify safety issues and take immediate action. 
• Perform any other tasks as assigned. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent education and experience. 
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• 2 -3 years of Supervisory experience.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Initiative-taking and an efficient analytical person.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
• Work occasional Saturdays or off shifts.
• Experience working in a union environment.
• Must be able to work in moderate noise, up to 83 decibels. 
• Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds.Occasionally
