AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Press Loader to be located in Somerset, KY. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Press Loader is responsible for loading plywood from the glue spreaders into the Hot Press; assisting in performing PMs on the Hot and Cold Presses; inputting tickets from the Glue Spreaders and creating tickets for the plywood exiting the Hot Press; and must be able to Operate the Hot and Cold Presses in the absence of the Press Operator.
JOB DUTIES:
Always follow all safety guidelines in order to eliminate accidental injury.
Maintain property, plant, and equipment to support and improve the safe production and performance of operations.
Participate in Continuous Improvement and provide suggestions to improve processes and participate in team projects.
Follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures when performing PMs and maintenance as directed by the Press Operator.
Maintain accurate records for the Press off-loaded materials.
Perform the responsibilities of the Press Operator in their absence.
Watch for blow-outs in the press and report to the Press Operator for corrective actions.
Keep blanks stacked neatly on pallets.
Assist Forklift Operator by off-loading, staging, and painting plywood.
Complete the accounting load tickets accurately and affix to the next pallet in line; ensure tickets are placed correctly using Factory Track.
Assist the Press Operator in loading plywood into the Hot Press.
Clean press area of any excess glue and waste material as time as appropriate.
Perform quality checks for plywood bond and document on the provided checklists.
Follow all JSAs, safety policies, and procedures.
Always maintain housekeeping.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification and drug screening.
Positive and Verifiable Work History.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Frequently push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50lbs.
