New Albany Housing Authority has an immediate opening for a Maintenance l position.
Hours and Days: Generally this position is scheduled to work Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with a one hour lunch break. This position may require one or more days a week with hours from 7 am to 4 pm. Occasional overtime may be required.
Job Summary: Performs a variety of maintenance, grounds keeping and cleaning tasks at assigned housing development(s) with minimal supervision. May work independently or be assigned to a crew of workers. May give assistance or be assigned to specific functions and duties requiring power and/or hand tools to perform general maintenance, repair and construction. Essential Duties: Cleaning of office building and common areas, floor care, grounds care including snow removal, property maintenance, general labor duties associated with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, construction, carpentry, etc...
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED; at least three months of related experience and/or training; ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions: ability to prepare short correspondence and reports; ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide; ability to perform operations using units of weight measurement, volume and distance; good interpersonal and customer service skills; current driver's license and must have a driving record acceptable to insurer of agency
