New Albany Housing Authority has an immediate opening for a Maintenance ll position.
Job Summary: Performs a variety of maintenance at assigned housing development(s) with minimal supervision. May work independently or be assigned to a crew of workers. May be assigned to specific functions and duties requiring power and/or hand tools to perform general maintenance, repair, HVAC and construction in accordance with local code and Uniform Physical Condition Standards (UPCS). Essential Duties: HVAC maintenance, plumbing repairs, electrical and carpentry work, appliance repair, estimates time and materials, general maintenance including door, window, woodwork, floor, wall and exterior repairs or replacement including work on roofs; performs emergency and overtime calls as required
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED; at least six months of related experience and/or training; ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions: ability to prepare short correspondence and reports; ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide; ability to perform operations using units of weight measurement, volume and distance; good interpersonal and customer service skills; current driver's license and acceptable driving record for insurance carrier of agency
