JOB PURPOSE
Under general supervision, the Summer Seasonal Worker is responsible to perform a variety of unskilled tasks such as moving, cleaning, landscaping duties etc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Assist with moving furniture, boxes etc.
- Provide floor care in school buildings as assigned (vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, etc.)
- Provide surface care such as dusting, sanitizing, glass/window cleaning etc.
- Responsible for waste removal
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
QUALIFICATIONS/PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS
EDUCATION REQUIRED
- High school diploma or equivalent unless otherwise agreed by the administration.
- Previous successful experience in cleaning, maintenance, or similar field.
- Knowledge of general cleaning and disinfecting procedures
- Ability to learn how to use all equipment as well and clean/maintain equipment after each use
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to do physical labor daily both indoors and outdoors

- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of students or employees of the district.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk and stand. Occasionally the employee will sit and/or run.

- The specific vision requirements of the job include good depth perception and occasionally being able to see objects/persons at a distance.
