What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Day General Mentor for Survivors of Sex Trafficking position at New Avenues for Youth (Non-Profit)?
This is a limited duration position through June 30, 2025.
The rate of pay is $20.25 an hour and the hours are full-time, Monday through Friday 9am to 5:30pm.
This position is based at the Youth CNCT building at 41 SE 102nd Avenue, starts each day on site and launches in to community to meet with youth, returning to Youth CNCT or other New Avenues sites between meetings and at the end of the day.

What You'll Do:
- 1:1 Support: Provide case management, advocacy, and mentorship in a community-based settingto a caseload of 15-20 youth
- Goal Plan: Work with youth survivors to identify goals and support in strategizing and reducing barriers to meet their goals
- Crisis Support: Support youth in navigating crisis, provide crisis interventions as appropriate
- Data Compliance: Maintain required documentation including case notes

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with high risk youth or providing mentorship services OR a Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology or related human services field experience required. Individuals with lived experience and folks in the BIPOC community are specifically encouraged to apply!
- Prior experience engaging youth who face multiple barriers, preferably around contexts associated with exploitation
· Proficiency in basic communication and technical skills, including composing professional emails, operating a phone system, and using standard computer applications
· Possess a valid Driver’s License and personal vehicle which will be used for transporting youth as part of mentorship
