·      Minimum five years technical screen printing experience (manual & auto)

·      Proven experience in a dynamic, volume-oriented environment 

·      Knowledgeable in plastisol, water-base, and discharge printing

·      Experience and knowledge of ink additives and specialty prints

·      Experience with screen reclaiming and coating

·      Knowledge of printing on various style of apparel and materials

·      Must be able to work independently on a schedule, prioritize, meet deadlines, and produce consistent, quality prints

·      Willingness and desire to effectively work with, mentor, and train a diverse population of youth


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Screen Printing Production Lead is responsible for working with the Business Manager with production duties including multi-color printing, screen reclaim, custom ink mixing, equipment and shop maintenance, shipping and receiving, and other industry-related tasks. This position will require supportive training to youth staff along with some customer service/sales duties. 


JOB DUTIES: other duties as assigned…

·      Auto and manual screen-printing for customer orders and associated production tasks.

·      Schedule and manage production calendar and work flow to meet or exceed customer quality expectations and deadlines.

·      Maintain physical environment as both a thriving manufacturing facility, job-training site, and retail space.

·      Operate and maintain waste tracking and production logs.

·      Maintain inventory records to ensure prompt order of production department supplies.

·      Monitor and keep the production floor and shop compliant with safety requirements

·      Ensure that the production department is clean and physically well organized

·      Monitor and troubleshoot equipment for mechanical operating efficiency and safety. Act as point of contact for all maintenance vendors.

·      Maintains awareness of industry trends and technology advancements.

·      Provide feedback and training to youth interns.

·      Attend New Avenues meetings and workshops as needed along with meeting with potential customers and clients

·      Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.

·      Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
