Position:
- Winter Ensemble instructor (Color Guard)
- NBHS seeks a Winter Ensemble Instructor to teach and inspire our students. Through strong teamwork, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills – this candidate will foster a positive environment for all participants.
- Co-teach the Indoor Color Guard
- Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement
- Support the visual development of the color guard
- Implement all visual techniques needed by the students
- Collaboratively with other staff help with arranging music
- Maintain, secure, and setup equipment and materials for rehearsals and performances
- Establish a positive rapport with students and families
- Participate in rehearsals, and performances throughout the winter season
- Flexible schedule including working holidays/weekends
- Such other responsibilities as may from time to time be assigned by the Principal, Director of Fine Arts, or CDAM - Arts
- Experience rehearsing a color guard
- Experience with the techniques required for flag, sabre, rifle, dance
- Ability to collaboratively help with choreography in the performance
- Knowledge of appropriate color guard techniques
- Works collaboratively with staff and students
- Reports to: Principal, Director of Fine Arts or CDAM - Arts
- Rate: $1,133.00/Stipend
- Dates: February 17, 2025- May 30, 2025
