Position:
- Assistant Athletic Trainer
- Assists Head Athletic Trainer with providing athletic health care for students-athletes, which consists of, but not limited to, the care, prevention, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries from on field evaluation and emergency treatment through return to full activity. In addition, this position will be required to assist with data tracking of athletes, assist athletic director with day-to-day operations, game management responsibilities at assigned games, and administrative duties.
- This important role requires extensive student and coach interaction, and the ability to confidently interact and engage with a diverse population.
- Assists the Head Athletic Coach with the following:
- Assist in the management of the daily operations of the Athletic Training Department.
- Assist in coordinating physician referrals and scheduling of physician appointments.
- Coordinate annual medical paperwork necessary for eligibility for athletic competition.
- Assist in annual review of departmental policies.
- Assist with directing and evaluating Emergency Action Plans (including inclement weather policies).
- Assist in organizing and supervising athletic training facilities.
- Maintain inventory.
- Assist with the CPR/First Aid/AED certification of coaches.
- Assist with oversight of weekly clinics with team physician(s).
- Assist in scheduling appointments for student-athletes with team physicians.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Engaging in effective written and oral communication with members of the coaching staff, athletic administration
- Previous athletic training experience, preferred.
- Must have strong communication skills both oral and written.
- Commonwealth of Massachusetts Athletic Trainer's license (or eligible and obtained prior to employment)
- CPR/First Aid/AED certifications, required.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing multiple tasks while working proficiently under pressure.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Experience with Google Calendar, Outlook, Microsoft office suite
- Prior experience working with and contributing to a diverse workplace with the ability to interact. effectively with a broad range of constituents on campus.

- Rate: $4413.00/ Stipend
