What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Coach - Wrestling position at New Bedford Public Schools?
Position: Head CoachObjective Coach the Wrestling Team with other duties including recruitment, practice and race dart coaching, conditioning of athletes, supervision of athletes, maintenance of practice facility and equipment travel, game management responsibilities at assigned games. This important role requires extensive student and coach interaction, and the ability to confidently interact with and engage with a diverse population. Responsibilities: Teach all aspects of the sport of Wrestling through fundamentals in daily practice sessions. Recruit and maintain an active team roster for the team to develop a competitive team.Develop and evaluate each athletes performance.Conduct and supervise all practices.
Schedule and attend all contests.Qualifications: Complete Understanding of running and how to train athletes.Some experience in Wrestling running preferredExperience teaching, developing and coaching Wrestling.Middle School Teacher preferred.Terms: Reports to: School Principal or DesigneeDates: 3/14/2025 4/16/2025Rate: $1000 - Stipend
