Job Summary

Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's specific needs and preferences.
- Provide support for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring they receive appropriate care and assistance.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and emotional well-being, including memory care exercises.
- Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare professionals about client conditions.
- Manage conflicts with empathy and professionalism to maintain a positive environment for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and participate in regular team meetings to discuss client progress.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with hospice care practices is advantageous.
- Understanding of medication administration protocols and procedures.
- Experience in dementia care or memory care settings is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to follow established systems for documenting client care and progress accurately.
