About Us
New Beginnings Behavior Intervention Services is a Medicaid waiver provider through Indiana's Home- and Community-Based Services Waiver. We are hiring independent contractors to provide Behavior Management services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We use a person-centered, inclusive, and trauma-responsive approach to helping clients and families meet behavior reduction and skill-building goals.
We are currently looking for Behavior Consultants in northern Indiana counties, including St. Joseph, La Porte, Elkhart, and Marshall counties.

Responsibilities:
- Provide consultation and behavioral support to individuals of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in their homes and community.
- Conduct and write Functional Behavior Assessments and write Behavior Support Plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
- Implement evidence-based strategies and interventions to address specific needs and goals.
- Conduct data collection and analysis to assess progress and effectiveness of interventions and write reports of progress on a quarterly basis.
- Monitor and adjust FBAs and BSPs based upon ongoing assessment and feedback.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as special education teachers, OTs, SLPs, and ABA providers, to develop individualized plans.
- Provide training and coaching to parents, caregivers, and other support staff.
- Adhere to all BDS/DDRS guidelines and the 460 IAC Section 6 in delivery of services.
Degree and Background Requirements:
- Master's degree required in Psychology, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Counseling, or a related field; or Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP).
- Limited criminal history free of felonies and any convictions related to abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation.
- Negative TB test results within 6 months of hire.
- Proof of liability insurance before working with first client.
- Valid CPR certification before working with first client.
Experience Requirements:
- Experience working with children or adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently of coworkers and collaboratively as part of client teams.
Preferred Additional Experience:
- Experience with reading, conducting, and/or writing Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Support Plans.
- Previous experience providing Waiver behavior management or BCBA.
