Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join our dynamic team. Candidate must possess experience in group homes with adolescents with mental health/behavioral needs. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively and effectively, and a commitment to providing exceptional support and structure to clients in a therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to staff in terms of scheduling, planning, coordination and execution of various activities within the residential setting.
- Supervises facility and ensures it’s in compliance with agency policy and procedures and state regulations.
- Direct care and supervision of clients.
- Provide direct psychoeducational services to clients.
- Participate in treatment planning meetings.
- Execution of client centered plan to accomplish treatment objectives.
- Provides basic case management functions.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Establish and maintain professional working relationship with parents, schools, courts, social workers, case managers and all other parties involved in the treatment process of each client.
- Demonstrate integrity and ethical behaviors in all areas of performance.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience working with mental health population
- Prior experience and/or training in Crisis Intervention (NCI parts A, Core and Core )
- Completion of or ability to pass CPR, First Aid, Seizure Management, Heimlich or similar Maneuver and Medication Administration training courses
- Ability to follow direction; train, lead and coach staff; and resolve conflicts
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to be sensitive to client cultural and social economic characteristics
