Assistant Director of Day Care

Position Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced, licensed Assistant Director to assist with the day-to-day operations of New Beginnings. The Assistant Director may be responsible for teaching VPK in the summer and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards by following the guidelines set by the state of Florida for child care centers. Must have teaching certification for VPK summer instruction.

Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership to create a welcoming and stimulating environment conducive to the holistic development of children.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including staffing, program development, curriculum, and facility management.
- Recruit, train or provide training, and supervise a team of dedicated childcare professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
- Assist us with obtaining Apple Accreditation and a Gold Standard.
- Develop and implement high-quality educational programs that promote whole child concepts, e.g. cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, addressing their children’s needs and concerns effectively, and encouraging engagement in their child's growth and development.
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, billing, and expense management, to ensure the financial health of the facility.
- Evaluate program effectiveness, solicit feedback from stakeholders, and implement improvements as necessary to enhance the quality of care and children’s learning.
Qualifications:
- Certified licensing by the state of Florida in Early Childhood Education.
- Must have CDA and First Aid certifications
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a leadership role within a daycare or early childhood education setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles, curriculum design, and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Knowledge of licensing regulations and compliance requirements for childcare facilities.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks.
