Position Overview:
The Assistant Early Learning Center (ELC) Director and Generations Ministry Coordinator is a dual-role position designed to support the effective administration of an early learning center and coordinate generations ministry programs (infant to young adult). This role requires a compassionate, organized, and visionary individual who values education, ministry, and community-building.
Key Responsibilities:Assistant Early Learning Center Director
- Administrative Leadership: Assist the ELC Director in daily operations, including staff supervision, curriculum planning, compliance with licensing regulations, and maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment.
- Staff Support: Provide guidance and professional development opportunities for teachers and staff, fostering a collaborative and positive workplace culture.
- Family Engagement: Build relationships with families through consistent communication, parent education and support, and community events.
- Program Development: Collaborate with the Director to assess and enhance the center’s programs to meet the developmental needs of all children.
- Operations Management: Oversee scheduling, enrollment, budget tracking, and supply procurement to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Generations Ministry Coordinator
- Program Development: Design and implement programs that engage individuals across generations from infants to young adults, fostering spiritual growth and community connection.
- Volunteer Recruitment: Identify and train volunteers to lead and support ministry activities, ensuring a broad and diverse representation of the church community.
- Generations Events: Plan and facilitate events that bring together children, youth, young adults, and families to strengthen intergenerational relationships and faith formation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with pastoral staff, church leadership, and other ministry teams to align programs with the church’s mission and vision.
- Communication: Promote programs and events through church bulletins, newsletters, social media, and direct outreach to members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Ministry, or a related field (Preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education or ministry leadership.
- Strong understanding of child development, early education best practices, and ministry programming.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
- Knowledge of licensing standards and early learning center regulations (if applicable).
- A passion for fostering faith and relationships in the next generation.
Work Environment:
- This position requires flexibility, with responsibilities split between the Early Learning Center and church ministry programs.
- Regular attendance at evening and weekend events may be required.
- The ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment is essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
