New Behavioral Network is seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavior Interventionist to work on a per diem basis in Camden, NJ, who is experiencing self-injurious behaviors (SIB). This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping young children develop safer, healthier behaviors through one-on-one support.
Position Overview:
- Role: Per Diem Behavior Interventionist
- Location: Camden, NJ
- Schedule: Monday- Thursday from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Work under the guidance of a BCBA to implement a tailored behavior intervention plan
- Provide direct support to reduce SIB and reinforce positive, alternative behaviors
- Collect data on behaviors and progress, collaborating closely with the supervising BCBA to adjust strategies as needed
- Partner with family members and caregivers to ensure consistency and support
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree preferred in ABA Therapy, Psychology or related field OR High School Diploma with at least 3 years of experience providing ABA Therapy or working with IDD clients
- Experience working with young children, particularly those with SIB or challenging behaviors
- Strong understanding of ABA principles (RBT certification preferred)
- Excellent communication and patience, with a compassionate, client-centered approach
- Background in psychology, special education, or a related field preferred
