We’re looking for an early-career Web Application Developer to join our Applications and Integrations team. This role combines client-facing and internal responsibilities, where you’ll manage existing software services, address client needs, and extend HubSpot’s platform capabilities. You’ll collaborate closely with both New Breed teams and clients, owning technical projects while receiving mentorship to accelerate your growth in this role. In this role, you will:
- Manage and maintain existing software services using Node.js, and modern web technologies.
- Collaborate with the RevOps team to design and implement solutions that address client challenges, building integrations with HubSpot via published APIs.
- Support internal technical initiatives, helping reduce manual effort and increase operational efficiency.
- Address client-submitted bugs, feature requests, and legacy code adjustments, learning the ins and outs of the product and building a strong understanding of the client base.
- Programmatically extend HubSpot as a platform, developing custom solutions and integrations to meet client needs.
- Take ownership of technical projects and work directly with clients, discussing technical solutions, gathering feedback, and maintaining communication.
- Learn and grow in the role while gaining ownership of both client-facing and internal initiatives.
A strong candidate will have:
- 1-2 years of experience working with web-based applications, preferably with exposure to Node.js and AWS (familiarity with AWS is helpful but not required).
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and experience in consuming and publishing data through them.
- Some experience with front-end client applications, or a willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working with relational databases and managing data.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a desire to learn and apply new skills in both business and technical contexts.
- Awareness of the software development life cycle, including development, testing, QA, and production environments.
- Ability to write clear, detailed functional documentation.
We would also love to see (though not required):
- Familiarity with HubSpot APIs.
- Understanding of multi-tier architecture (front-end, back-end, and database work).
- Basic skills in front-end technologies (CSS, SCSS, HTML).
