New Britain Recreation and Community Services Department is now hiring for seasonal summer positions! The Recreation and Aquatics division's are looking for motivated and hard working individuals to fill a variety of roles working at multiple facilities throughout New Britain. The jobs available are listed below:
Aquatics Attendant- Aquatics Attendants are responsible for welcoming guests upon arrival and ensuring safety by enforcing facility rules. This role does not require a lifeguard certification. Aquatics Attendants record daily attendance, handle daily admission transactions, maintain and clean facilities and provide exceptional customer service to all guests. Ideally an Aquatics Attendant should have strong math and customer service skills.
Recreation Attendant- Recreation Attendants work in a variety of roles which include working in a concession stand, the Terrific Toys rental program (inflatable amusements), and special events. The responsibilities of a Recreation Attendant include customer service, food preparation, proper maintenance and cleaning of equipment, register sales, rule enforcement, lifting and setup of inflatable amusements, creating positive experiences for guests at events and ensuring safety. Ideally a Recreation Attendant should have strong math and customer service skills.
Recreation Attendant Supervisor- Manages and leads the Recreation Attendant team in the concession stands, Terrific Toy rentals, and special events. The supervisor is also responsible for doing the tasks of a Recreation Attendant.
All staff are required to have CPR/First-Aid/AED certifications through the American Red Cross or obtain American Red Cross certification(s) prior to start date. The application process is open from February to April 2025. Apply today!
