Group Fitness Instructor

We are looking for ENTHUSIASTIC, High Energy Group Fitness Instructors to join our team!

The New Canaan YMCA is looking for part-time certified instructors in Group Power (MOSSA Certified), Blast/Cardio Step, Centergy, Boot Camp and more.

If you have 2 hours (or more!) a week to commit to the Y’s mission of Healthy Living, we encourage you to apply!

Successful candidates will possess:

• Strong leadership skills and ability to facilitate positive relationships with students
• Professional attitude and positive representative of the New Canaan YMCA
• Current certification (for duration of employment with the YMCA) – such as ACE, AFAA, AFAA, ACSM, AEA or equivalent certification (determined by Director depending on which class being offered)
• C.P.R. and Standard First Aid certification
• Good time management skills (arrive early for class, begin and end class on time)
• A “safety first” mindset and ability to customize exercises to meet student’s needs
