Summer@Country School offers a safe, self-contained environment perfect for participants to freely explore and enjoy their favorite activities with friends old and new. We offer a range of traditional and new activities that make each summer unique, including art, STEM and athletics, 85 acres of outdoor and woodland adventure, and weekly specials. Through hands-on experiences and a combination of guided and independent experiences, campers are encouraged to try new things, explore, accept challenges, and most of all have fun.
We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated lead counselors who love summer programs and love kids. Each program group will have a lead and assistant counselor. Lead counselors' responsibilities include designing and leading group activities, ensuring the safety of participants, and creating a fun and inclusive community. Lead counselors work closely with and mentor assistant counselors to ensure a positive experience for all. In addition, lead counselors collaborate with the program director to create opportunities for our counselors-in-training. Lead counselors play an important role in building an enriching summer experience for our participants.
This program runs 9 am - 4 pm Monday through Friday from June 16 to August 15. 2025. The projected number of hours per week is 40. A three-week minimum commitment is required; a full summer commitment is preferred.

Responsibilities :
- Design and execute activities that are aligned with the program's mission and goals
- Maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities for children and staff
- Organize and supervise children within activities and throughout the program in order to meet the intended outcomes
- Curate lesson plans and supply lists with the assistant counselor prior to each week of programming
- Create opportunities for and partner with counselors-in-training program
- Be a role model to children and staff in your attitude and behavior
- Represent the program when interacting with parents or community members
- Greet participants and families at drop off and pick up daily
- Attend all staff meetings
