- In-Class Support:
Collaborate with math teachers to offer real-time intervention during class, addressing learning gaps and reinforcing key concepts. Use formative data and observation to inform targeted instructional strategies that align with classroom goals. - Program Development:
Maintain and continue to develop the Math Center to ensure it remains an effective, welcoming resource that meets students' evolving needs. Integrate data-driven approaches to inform programming decisions and support the development of targeted interventions. - Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with teachers to support student progress and encourage a schoolwide culture of accessible math support. Use priority standards and prerequisite knowledge to measure student growth and guide conversations around student achievement and instructional planning. - 029 certification.
- Strong understanding of instructional strategies and intervention techniques.
- Familiarity with the Understanding by Design (UbD) curriculum model and its application to lesson and unit planning.
- Knowledge of the progression of high school math courses and how skills build from foundational to advanced levels.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students and staff.
- Proficient in the use of educational technology to support instruction, collect data, and analyze student performance for targeted intervention.

Position Overview:
The Math Interventionist is a full-time certified math teacher who leads the school’s Math Center and provides targeted support to help students succeed and grow in their math courses. This role includes offering drop-in assistance and in-class intervention aimed at closing learning gaps, reinforcing key concepts, and extending learning for those students ready for advanced concepts. The Interventionist also collaborates closely with teachers and instructional leaders to ensure the Math Center remains a welcoming, responsive space that fosters confidence, deepens understanding through differentiation, and promotes a culture of math achievement across all levels of learners.
