Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Help clients engage in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and integration.
- Implement individualized care plans as directed by healthcare professionals or family members.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health status to appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy.
- Lift and assist clients as needed while ensuring their comfort and safety.
Skills
- Experience in group home settings or similar environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices related to client care.
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques is a plus.
- Previous experience in nursing homes or assisted living facilities is beneficial.
- Ability to lift clients safely while maintaining proper body mechanics.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Skills in home community care practices are advantageous.
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach to client interactions.
- Basic cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals for clients.
