WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

The Account Executive, SCM at Bolthouse Fresh Foods will maintain overall responsibility and accountability tied to all customer communications, sales, order and product management, build customer loyalty and relationships, problem-solving analytics to maintain high service levels. This person will build a strong working relationship with various internal departments to achieve the highest level of customer service while enhancing mutual growth and profitability for the business. 

 

JOB DUTIES: 

  • Order Management 
    • Ensures that customer orders for the team are timely and accurately entered in the system, w/appropriate transportation details and/or providing proactive guidance on fulfillment due to supply issues and constraints.    
    • Monitor shipping / warehouse issues are addressed in a timely manner to get orders out on time.
    • Pricing Accuracy. Responsible for ensuring accurate and complete customer pricing is matched up to customer systems aligned as per the agreements between the NSD’s and their customers.
    • Ensures invoice amounts accurately reflect contractual and promotion agreements; maintains awareness of customer pricing programs and resolves short paid invoices timely.
    • Ensures the accuracy of invoices, bill of ladings, shipment related documents including computing of any price, weight/volume conversions tied to the goods transported.

    Sales & Customer Relations

    • Interact with customers, by phone or e-mail, to increase sales on incoming orders utilizing opportunistic products; some key account activities may include monitoring buying patterns, scorecards, and analyzing data to drive sales growth; makes calls to existing customers to promote certain products as directed by team leaders / management.
    • Develop and maintain favorable relationships with customers to service customer needs. 
    • Build customer loyalty and confidence to sustain existing and increase product sales. 
    • Visit key accounts at customer sites or trade shows, in conjunction with NSDs, to jointly manage accounts and deepen customer relationships.

    Product Management 

    • Provides an in-depth knowledge of most products offered.
    • Responsible for team adherence to processes for ensuring accurate customer product specifications; specifications are standardized and optimized for company profitability and customer needs; directly involved in collaborative issue resolutions with senior management, sales and customers.  
    • Collaborates with production and sales, performs analysis, and makes recommendations to team on optimize account performance in the pursuit of departmental and company objectives.

    Problem Solving Analytics 

    • Proactively solves problems through analysis of information and utilizing specialized knowledge to solve day-to-day challenges tied to maintaining high customer service levels.

    Systems & Technical Skills

    • Thorough knowledge and experience with 1) ERP software tools used to enter and manage orders and monitor customer accounts; 2) software tools used to manage and evaluate inventory, and 3) BI software to analyze data and report on customer account activity. 

    Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite to include Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, Proficient use of English language when speaking, reading, and writing
  • Possess logical problem-solving skills, analysis and strategic thinking abilities
  • Exhibit a strong degree of professionalism and the ability to handle a high-stress, multi-task environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration and/or 2 years of experience related to customer service/sales
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of JD Edwards and other ERP systems 
  • Experience with Red Prairie or other inventory management systems is a major plus
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence software like Business Objects 
  • Prior experience in exporting goods overseas in the manufacturing or food service industry


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, climb, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
  • Lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to 20 lbs.
  • Operate office equipment requires repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in an upright position walking on both even and uneven surfaces
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, using 3-point contact on a regular basis
  • Ability to stoop, crouch, and kneel on a regular basis

 

HOURS & WORKDAYS:

8:00 PM to 5:00 PM; Overtime, Weekends, and Holidays may be mandatory based on business needs. Rotating workday/time off schedules may be mandatory depending on department/business needs as well.
