Seeking: Regional Certified Recovery Specialist - CRS OR CFRS
Full-Time Hours:
- Monday - Friday 6 AM - 2 PM
- Hours may vary
This position requires travel to the following four outpatient locations:
- New Castle Comprehensive Treatment Center
- Farrell Comprehensive Treatment Center
- Pittsburgh Comprehensive Treatment Center
- Cranberry Township Comprehensive Treatment Center

Your Job as a Recovery Specialist:
The Recovery Specialist assists the care management team in providing a seamless continuum of care. They will maintain regular and constant communication with insurance companies, the finance department, treatment team members, patients and their families to increase quality and cost-effective outcomes. The Care Manager will assist patients in accessing medical, clinical, vocational and rehabilitative services as necessary.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides assistance in seamless communication between the insurance companies by checking outcomes of percent clinical, concurrent reviews, doctor to doctor and denial results
- Provides assistance in seamless communication with the Finance Department on insurance status and insurance denials. Assists in prompt communication of discharge plans that is required by insurance companies. Facilitates appropriate appeal process in cases of denial in collaboration with the guarantor and the Finance Department. Able to copy insurance company’s request of patient medical records and send via fax or mail as instructed
- Able to assist the department in obtaining supplies and maintaining organization
- Provide excellent customer service via phone and in person. May also provide communication between the insurance companies, patients and families/guarantors when a denial status is received
- Provides communication with the Finance Department and treatment team on insurance denials and status. Facilitates appropriate appeal process, as determined by the insurance provider, in cases of denial in collaboration with patients, families/guarantors and the Finance Department
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Your Education, Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required;
- Associate’s degree in social work, counseling, or related human services field from an accredited college or university preferred
- 1-2 years of experience working in behavioral health or addiction recovery setting preferred.
Required Certifications:
- Certified Family Recovery Specialist (CFRS) Certification in Pennsylvania; OR
- Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) Certification in Pennsylvania
