Journeyman Plumbing Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and licensed Plumber to join our dedicated maintenance team at a County facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of water, heating, and plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with the highest standards set by the State of Delaware and New Castle County.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on water, heating, and plumbing systems in County buildings.
• Install and repair a variety of piping systems, including hot and cold water, oil, steam, air, wastewater, and gas pipes.
• Execute necessary connections and ensure optimal functioning of all plumbing systems.
• Install water service piping, including the wiping and testing of joints.
• Work with diverse pipe materials such as PVC, CPVC, copper, black iron, and galvanized steel, adhering to all relevant regulations.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficient in plumbing techniques at a journeyman level.
• Experienced in installing and repairing various pipe materials.
• Strong understanding of plumbing system installation and maintenance.
• Ability to operate independently while also collaborating effectively with team members.
  
  

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid license as a plumber at the journeyman level.
• Proven experience in plumbing maintenance and installation.
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
