What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Live-In Program Counselor position at New Challenges, Inc.?
New Challenges, Inc. provides services to adults with disabilities, mental illness and brain injuries in residential settings in the east and south metro area. NCI is currently hiring for a part time live-in program counselor (48 hour weekend.) Shifts are an every other weekend in Taylors Falls.
Live-in weekend shifts start at 10pm on Friday evening and ends at 10pm on Sunday evening.
Duties as a direct care employee include but are not limited to:
- Medication administration
- Transportation
- Documentation
- ADL's
- Independent living skill assistance
- Activities
- Personal Hygiene Assistance
Compensation for the 48 hour shift is $754.00 per block weekend.
All applicants must have a valid driver's license, have a high school diploma, a vehicle to use while on duty, pass standards for driving history and meet criteria for a DHS background study. Experience as a nursing assistant (CNA), personal care attendant (PCA) or home health aide (HHA) are encouraged to submit resumes.
