Material Handler needed for -Bilingual Spanish a MUST!

New City Moving is the largest privately-owned moving company in Chicago. We have grown tremendously over the years and will continue to grow and expand in different markets throughout the state and the Midwest. We have been able to grow at this rate due to our exceptional customer service. We are currently looking for a Full-time Material Handler to assist the dispatch team in continuing to provide the best customer service possible.

Material Handler Job description summary:

As the Material Handler, you will be responsible for unloading product deliveries to customers and crews on the field when necessary, stocking moving trucks based on customer needs for their particular move and assisting with organizing and maintaining existing inventory. Preference will be given to candidates who are available to work overtime hours during the busier times of the year, if and when needed, and able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Schedule:

Primary responsibilities:

· Assist in reviewing customer orders and then pulling the right products for each order based on their move needs

· Work closely with the inventory group to monitor supply levels and submit purchasing recommendations on a regular basis- Will keep track of inventory

· Load and unload moving trucks with the necessary equipment/tools for the moves scheduled the following day

· Make sure that each incoming truck is reviewed for any customer belongings and restock them as needed

· Maintain a clean dispatch environment including office and lot

Candidates must possess these four main qualities:

· Be extremely detail-oriented and posses the ability to handle multiple assignments

· Stay organized at all times

· Be energetic and positive to customers throughout the day

Qualifications & Requirements

· A valid state Driver’s License (Preferably Class-C, but can sponsor to obtain if necessary)

· Background in Warehousing and or the moving industry

· Ability to work with computers and specific software to complete job responsibilities

· **Fluency in Spanish Preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
