What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Quantity Surveyor position at New Civil Engineer?
We are currently seeking Quantity Surveyors for full-time permanent positions in the Munster region.
We are interested in speaking to Quantity Surveyors with various levels of experience in civil quantity surveying/estimating.
You will form part of a dynamic commercial team on multi-million euro civil engineering projects carrying out tasks such as valuations, claims, cost management, subcontract management, procurement, and pricing additional works. Estimating new tenders will form part of the role from time to time.
The Candidate: Must hold a BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar. Must have a minimum 2 years of recent practical experience in a project QS and/or civil estimating role in Ireland or the UK.
Must have Excellent MS Office skills. Must have excellent communication skills, oral and written.
Must have an ability to perform multiple tasks at a high level of quality.
Preferably have knowledge of Public Works Contracts or NEC Contracts.
Preferably have a proven ability to prepare and price Civil tenders.
Preferably be a member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) or the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
