What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outreach LPN/RN position at NEW Community Clinic LTD?

We provide healthcare services including medical, dental, mental healthcare, WIC, and community outreach services to anyone in our community who may be living in poverty or who may be underserved. N.E.W. Community Clinic has three dental clinics, two medical clinics, a WIC location, and a behavior health clinic in Green Bay, and we are seeking an experienced and empathetic LPN/RN to join our enthusiastic team! This position will consist of working 16 hours per week Outreach locations (to include our Mobile Health Unit and local shelters ) and 24 hours in our medical clinic.
Essential Functions:
- Perform nursing duties as part of a small, dedicated team of medical staff on our mobile health unit and at various outreach locations.
- Obtain and record patient symptoms and history
- Utilize medical aseptic techniques and adhere to OSHA Standards
- Perform vision and hearing testing as needed
- Assist with lab functions, collect specimens, perform venipuncture, capillary sticks, routine lab tests, and procedures as needed
- Prepare exam room, equipment, and patient for examinations and procedures
- Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and TB skin tests
- Coordinate incoming calls and the clinic medication refill line
- Notify patients of their lab/test results as requested by the provider
- Assist in providing patient instruction, education, referrals, and routine screening tasks
- Enter data as needed for clinic reporting using clinic shared drive, and computer system
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Degree as a LPN or RN
- Experience: 1-3 years preferred but open to new grads as well
- Experience with EPIC a plus
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
- An interest in working with a diverse population in different environments
