Shipping and Fulfillment Associate

New Country Organics is a local company with a national reach. Headquartered in Waynesboro, VA. New Country Organics formulates, produces, markets and sells organic livestock feed and other organic components for sustainable organic farming. We provide the resources to help people align to the natural rhythm of life by creating products and services that enrich their world.

Due to growth New Country Organics has several openings for team members in our fulfillment and shipping department. As a member in fulfillment and shipping your days will go by quickly as you pull product to fulfill and ship orders to our customers throughout the USA, whether its one to two boxes heading to a "backyard farmer" or pallets to ship to our distributers and resellers.

The successful candidates will, first and foremost, have the desire to be a positive participant in a team environment. Understanding that the more support you give your teammates, the more supported you will be. This quality is built through long-term working relationships where teammates learn to trust one another.

Here's what you need to know about this job:

• Each 8-hour day consists of reviewing orders for the day, preparing shipping. materials, organizing orders, pulling product in an organized manner, packaging product, preparing shipping papers, and loading the orders onto the carriers' trailers.
• The warehouse is only partially conditions. That means it can get cold in the winter and hot in the summer.
• Team members will lift bags weighing up to 60 pounds by hand all day long.
• Team members are responsible for pre and post shift clean up in the work area and warehouse.
• Team members will need to drive a forklift. This means there is a zero tolerance for any drug use, this includes marijuana.
• The eight building Waynesboro campus of New Country Organics is located on 7.5 acres off of 2nd Street on the northeast side of Waynesboro.
