BUS DRIVER
New Covenant Academy is seeking qualified bus drivers to transport students to and from field trips, special events, between campuses, and/or sports events, on a part-time, as-needed basis. Events could be during the day or evening, and also occur both weekdays or weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Fulfill the general qualifications for employment at NCA.(**See Below for detail)
2. Hold a CDL with school bus driver endorsement valid for the period of employment
3. Be willing to submit to a drug test on employment and during the term of employment as requested.

JOB GOALS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintain safe transportation conditions while driving the bus.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, as requested, and report any deficiencies to the Director of Operations immediately.
- Operate the vehicle within the guidelines established by law and by NCA policy.
- Assist in the supervision of students: while on the bus, the bus driver is the final authority regarding procedures, safety, and related transportation issues. Reports of irregularities are to be made immediately to the Secondary Principal.
- Maintain such records as are requested, including trip logs and timesheets.
- Such other duties may be assigned by the Director of Operations.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Hourly employment according to established school policies. This is an “at-will” position, and employment for one time does not guarantee any future employment.

**QUALIFICATIONS FOR ALL EMPLOYEES
SPIRITUAL:
- Employees must demonstrate evidence of regeneration and dedication to the cause of Christ and have an expressed desire (call) to work in a Christian school.
- Employees must have a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Employees must have a Christian testimony reflected in a daily walk that allows being a true example to all students.
- Employees must do their jobs “as unto the Lord”: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not men.”
- Employees must be active in a local body of believers and should be faithful in reading God’s Word and daily prayer.
- Employees must agree fully and without reservation with the school’s Statement of Faith.
PERSONAL:
- Employees must demonstrate the maturity of character, ability to work as a team member, and good physical and mental health. Each member of the team must fully agree with the philosophy, objectives, and policies of NCA. Loyalty and integrity are to be demonstrated.
- All employees are required to exemplify an attitude of cooperation and should be willing to work under authority. Work should be done in a diligent manner and with a positive attitude.
- All employees should conduct their personal affairs so as not to cast aspersion upon the school. Careless living, attending questionable places of amusement, and any other departures from accepted Christian standards, including use of tobacco or alcoholic beverages, may be considered grounds for dismissal.
- Because rumors can be dangerous, cause divisiveness, and hinder the work of Christ, all employees are encouraged to refrain from gossip and spreading rumors.
