Title: Driver
Supervision: B&B Assistant Store Manager
Compensation: Full-time, Non-exempt
Working Relationships: The driver reports directly to the B&B Assistant Store Manager. Daily, the Driver is in direct support of the store and will coordinate and take directions with/from the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Managers to meet the operational needs of the campus.
General Job Description: The Driver is responsible for operating a pickup truck, box van, and trailer used for picking up merchandise and making deliveries. Responsible to load, unload, and move furnishings following all safety protocols. The schedule is 35 - 40 hours, which may include evenings and weekends.

- Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and have the ability to be cleared as an Approved Driver by the UMC FL Conference
- Must have proven experience operating a box van and pulling a trailer
- Must be able to push, bend and lift 50 pounds
- Required to stand, sit, or move around for long periods of time
· Must be able to work in varied outdoor weather conditions.
Primary Duties:
- Interface with volunteers, customers, and staff in a helpful, friendly, and professional manner
- Responsible for picking up donations as scheduled or assigned.
- Assist customers with loading and unloading donations and/or purchases
- Assist with moving and rearranging furnishings in store & Intake areas
- Maintain truck records, vehicle supplies, equipment, and promptly report and mechanical issues
- Ensure all truck drivers and helpers are trained
- Responsible for truck maintenance and repairs
- Responsible to drive safely, obey all traffic laws and be alert for the safety of everyone
- Follow guidelines on “Do Not Take List” and offer other options to customers if declining donations
- Help with operations of store if directed
- Ensure OSHA and safety standards are followed and maintained
· Attends staff meetings and devotions
· Other duties as assigned
