Job Overview: We are seeking reliable, energetic, and responsible Kitchen and Cleaning Staff to join our daycare team. This vital role ensures a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for both the children and staff, as well as helping with food preparation and serving during mealtime. There are two position are offered for different times of the day.
Duties -
- Assist with food preparation, including cutting, washing, and organizing ingredients.
- Ensure meals are prepared according to dietary guidelines and the daycare’s nutritional requirements.
- Serve meals and snacks to children in a timely and organized manner.
- Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area.
- Clean kitchen equipment and utensils after use.
- Monitor food supplies and assist with inventory control.
- Follow all hygiene and safety procedures when handling food
- Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, common areas, restrooms at the end of shift.
- Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Disinfect toys, play equipment, and other surfaces regularly to prevent the spread of germs.
- Ensure that high-traffic areas are cleaned frequently throughout the day.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are well-stocked and safe for use around children.
Experience/Qualifications -
- Previous experience in a daycare, kitchen, or cleaning role preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools
- Understanding of food safety protocols
- Ensure that high-traffic areas are cleaned frequently throughout the day.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to lift light to moderate weights (up to 30 lbs) and be on your feet for long periods.
- Must have a positive attitude and enjoy working with children.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are well-stocked and safe for use around children.
