Substitute Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teacher to join our private Christian Learning Center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering a positive learning environment and the ability to engage students in various subjects. As a Substitute Teacher, you will step into classrooms to provide instruction and support, ensuring that students continue to thrive in their educational and spiritual journey. This role requires effective communication skills, classroom management abilities, and a strong understanding of childhood development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans as outlined by the primary teacher, adapting as necessary to meet the needs of the students.
• Maintain classroom discipline and manage student behavior effectively.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive environment for all students, including those with special education needs.
• Communicate clearly with students about expectations and instructions.
• Assist in the development of curriculum materials when needed.
• Provide tutoring support to students who may require additional help.
• Engage with students in a manner that promotes their social and emotional growth.

Experience

• Previous experience in a classroom setting is preferred, particularly in private schools or Montessori environments.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and strategies for effective instruction.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
• Experience in tutoring or providing individualized support to students is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff members.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
