What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Director position at New Dawn Health Care Center?
New Dawn Rehab and Healthcare Center is looking for a Maintenance Director.
Long Term Care experience preferred.
Two years of relevant experience in building and grounds facilities management in a complex, multi-building facility, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience, and supervisory experience in a healthcare environment.
Possession of a valid Driver’s License.
Responsibilities
- Handle fire safety, drills and check fire extinguishers regularly.
- Maintain the upkeep of the facility grounds
- Keep in compliance with state, federal and local code
- Coordinate the safety committee meetings each month
- Recommends and maintains good working relationships with contractors when repairs are needed.
- Ensure Facility compliance in emergency procedure
- Repairs, painting and remodeling when needed.
- Necessary preparations/accommodations to rooms for new resident occupancy
- Monthly or weekly inspections of buildings
- Daily communication of projects
- Orientation of all new staff (safety, fire, etc.)
- Participating in facility events
Must have flexibility in the event facility needs arise outside of normal business hours.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $26.00 per hour
