Training for this position is provided in its entirety, so no experience is required. However, experienced DSP's are eligible for higher pay. Responsibilities may include:
- Providing direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment for our clients while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
- Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
- Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
- Providing personal care assistance which includes all ADL's.
- Bringing a smile to the faces of those you serve after an outing together like the Zoo!.
Current open position:
Youngstown:
- Afternoons ( Start time varies 2:30pm-3:30pm, end time 11pm or 12am)
- Weekends - 8am-4pm and 4pm-12am
Warren:
- Afternoons 2pm-10pm Days vary with working every other weekend
Requirements
- Valid High School Diploma or GED*
- Valid Driver’s License*
- No More than 6 points in last two yrs. on your Driver’s License*
- Valid vehicle insurance*
- Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
- Eligible to work in the US.
- Must be able to pass a Background Check
- Must pass the 7 Database Checks
