CNC Shop Setup Operator using HAAS Mills

Coordinate shop floor setups, run various HAAS VMC's VF2, VF3 and DM’s, helpful knowledge of Okuma lathes, Star & Tsugami Screwmachines is a plus.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Setup jobs, step through programs, run CNC's, use our automated bead blast department,quality control while contributing to production quotas.

• Ability to edit/ debug CNC program
• Set up, prep, load program, and operate CNC machining centers, CNC lathes, Screw machines etc.
• Verify part tolerances, ability to read and understand prints
• Team player, able to give / take direction and be self-directed when needed
• Responsible for execution of multiple projects and coordination of machining activities in one of and / or multiple machining areas
• Update production schedules
• Receive/ provide input from production, management, quality and purchasing departments to help improve process
• Assist order materials and or tooling
• Facilitate general maintenance and coordinate machinery repair
• 1st shift full time (40 hrs wk)
• 90 day probation period - we are an AT-WILL employer

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS:

Have a naturally positive attitude with demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills. Communication is the key to our business at all levels. Having prior CNC and manufacturing experience is a must, capable of working with minimum supervision, ability to operate multiple machines when needed, physically able to lift 40 lbs, desire to learn new skills, work on their feet for extended period of time. Must have good math skills, ability to read blueprints, read, write and speak English, and have good interpersonal skills. You can multi-task and adapt to changing situations. Previous independent work environment preferred.
