Little Duckling II is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our fun and engaging team. In this role, you will create a nurturing and positive environment that fosters the development and well-being of infants while following state criteria, Paths to Quality standards, and Little Duckling standards. You will be responsible for implementing and adapting lessons to meet the individual needs of each infant, promoting a positive learning environment, and being an active, proactive member of the team.
Key Responsibilities :
Create a Fun & Engaging Environment : Build a calm, loving, and safe classroom atmosphere where infants can explore and develop through sensory experiences. Bring energy and creativity to each day to foster their curiosity and growth.
Adapt and Support Team : Work closely with other team members to create a cohesive and supportive environment. Be proactive in helping out wherever needed and contribute to team success.
Follow State Criteria & Standards : Ensure compliance with all state licensing requirements and guidelines, as well as Paths to Quality standards and Little Duckling’s specific standards.
Follow & Adapt Lessons : Implement the lesson plans provided, making modifications as needed to meet the developmental needs of each infant. Be flexible and willing to adjust activities based on each child's abilities and milestones.
Diaper Changing & Hygiene : Change diapers as needed and assist infants with personal hygiene while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Promote Developmental Growth : Support each infant’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth through age-appropriate activities and positive reinforcement, such as tummy time, sensory exploration, and language development.
Communication with Parents : Maintain clear, positive communication with parents about their infant’s development, milestones, and daily activities.
Ensure Safety and Well-Being : Supervise infants at all times, ensuring a safe and secure environment for learning, play, and rest.
Qualifications :
- Experience in early childhood education, especially working with infants, preferred.
- Must be nurturing, patient, and proactive with the ability to adapt to the needs of individual children and the team.
- Ability to follow lesson plans while also being flexible to make adjustments for each infant’s developmental needs.
- Knowledge of state criteria and Paths to Quality standards, or willingness to learn.
- Ability to change diapers and attend to infants' personal care needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with parents and teammates.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A passion for early childhood education and helping infants thrive!
