Job Description
Title: Janitor
Department: Support Services (school)
Title of Immediate Supervisor: Support Services Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining a safe, hygienic, and sanitary environment at the H.G.L.
Campus School.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Clean and sanitize locker rooms, restrooms, kitchens, and health office daily. Fill soap and paper dispensers
- Clean, vacuum, and dust offices, conference rooms, music room, weight room, lounge, library, and computer
- Perform high and low dusting of offices, classrooms, corridors and entrances weekly.
- Dust mop classrooms daily, wet mop as needed.
- Dust mop the gym daily and wet mop weekly. Scrub and burnish the cafetorium monthly.
- Clean entrance doors, pedimats, and windows daily. Clean other windows and window treatments as needed.
- Scrub and burnish corridors daily or as needed.
- Disinfect hand contact points weekly including phones, door handles, and switch covers. Sanitize and polish
- Spot clean and shampoo carpets as needed.
- Sanitize, scrub, and seal ceramic tile floors as needed.
- Strip and wax all VCT floor tile as needed.
- Refuse removal including biohazard waste taken to designated area.
- Maintain all work areas and equipment to be safe and sanitary.
- Inventory and request supplies as needed.
- Replace burnedt out lighting tubes as needed.
- Attend all mandatory in-service training and regularly attend supervision meetings. Attend other training and in- services as needed to maintain a level of expertise in the field.
- Any additional duties assigned by immediate supervisor.
