Jr Estimator

New Dominion Construction, LLC specializes in light gauge and structural metal framing, drywall hanging and finishing, acoustical ceiling grid and tile, and installation of doors, frames, and hardware. We offer services in rough carpentry, specialty ceilings, acoustical and thermal insulation, prefab drywall assemblies, and demolition. As a federal government general contractor, we are SBA 8(a) and HUBZone certified, ensuring quality and compliance in our projects.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Jr Estimator located in Gaithersburg, MD. The Jr Estimator will be responsible for assisting in preparing cost estimates for construction projects, analyzing project requirements, and determining necessary materials and labor. The role involves collaborating with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate and competitive bidding, conducting site visits, and maintaining detailed records of estimates and project documentation.

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Experience with cost estimation software and tools
• Knowledge of construction practices, materials, and methods
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred
• Previous experience in the construction industry is a plus
