JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant Project Manager position is a supervisory-level, autonomous role requiring considerable time, effort, professionalism, independence, ingenuity, collaboration, efficiency, integrity, coordination, and determination. The individual who fills this role must be willing and able to fulfill the entire suite of duties, goals, and responsibilities of this position with little to no daily guidance, direction and supervision. This position will require extensive and continuous communication with company management and employees as well as vendors, service providers, equipment manufacturers, insurance providers as well as many other entities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Experience:
- 3 plus years of supervisory experience
- Certificate/Licensure:
- Valid driver's license
- CDL Class A or B (preferred)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily supervision of all shift operations
- Daily coordination and communication with company management and mill representatives
- Training and supervision of all shift project staff
- Responsible for the scheduling, cost effectiveness, and timely completion of all operational tasks
- Responsible for ensuring employees, equipment and vehicles are compliant with all client, federal, state, and local regulations and/or requirements
- Responsible for monitoring and enforcing all company safety policies and procedures.
- Act in a professional and respectful manner at all times
- Continuously develop beneficial relationships with outside parties including customers, vendors, suppliers, and equipment related accounts
- Identify, evaluate, and successfully pursue the most cost-effective operational solutions
- Constantly coordinate with internal and external parties as required to efficiently and effectively meet the company’s project goals
- Complete and submit any and all measurables and/or reports as required
- Represent the company in a professional, organized, and confident manner at all times
- Coordinate with, and disseminate information to, internal staff, client representatives, farmers, landowners, and regulatory agency personnel as required to successfully fulfill the companies contract obligations

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Generally, the employee filling this position will be expected to be present at the project location for a 12-hour rotating shift and/or as directed by the Project Manager. May work extended hours including weekends.
- Job functions will be carried out in a vast array of environments including but not limited to maintenance facilities, job sites, customer facilities, vehicles, agricultural sites, landfills, end user facilities, etc.
- Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, bend, and kneel.
- Frequently must push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs.
- The workplace is in a smoke-free environment.
- PPE is required and must be worn as instructed.
- Must adhere to all safety requirements.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
- 100% - Assist with managing project operations:
- Staff project to meet operational needs as well as the project labor budget.
- Ensure staff are properly trained and capable of completing assigned tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure staff have the necessary equipment and supplies to complete the required tasks efficiently.
- Monitor and maintain a high level of cleanliness at the mill, on roadways and at all field sites.
- Ensure the equipment is constantly cleaned and maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor project efficiencies to meet assigned goals.
- Maintain project operational database and distribute reports and information as required.
- Monitor and ensure that project operations comply with all applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, vendors, and the public.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBIITIES:
- All project level employees report directly to the Project Manager.
- The Assistant Project Manager assists the Project Manager with supervisory responsibilities as directed.
